Capable of murder?

I noticed how discussion has been waning here and I figured I should bring this topic up.  I found it on an old google archive.  It'll either liven the place up, or push it further into oblivion.  So anyways...


Who is capable of murder?  Accidently does not count.

Shampoo:  Are you kidding? If she could get away with it, she'd do it in a heartbeat.  Not that she's a homicidal maniac, but she'd cut someone down who offended her honor.

I THINK she'd let pregnant women and little kids off the hook. ...I think.

Mousse: Without batting an eyelash.  I like the guy, but honestly, he's ruthless. Ranma would seriously be in trouble if Mousse could see better.

Ryouga:.....As much as it pains me to admit, Ryouga could kill someone.  In a fight where he let his temper get the better of him, caught up in the moment...he'd kill someone.   However, he'd feel REALLY REALLY bad about it afterwards, and probably become suicidal. Even if it was a really bad person, he'd start to feel bad and blame himself.  Unless, they killed someone he cares about (Akane, Akari *twitch*, and maybe Ukyou depending on the situation) then he would.....ok he'd still become suicidal. But for differetn reasons.

Ranma:  If someone killed Akane, they'll probably wish for death if Ranma DIDNT' kill him.  Fiancee' vengeance aside, Ranma would try very very hard not to kill someone in a fight.  He'd most likely get beaten up pretty badly while trying to solve it some other way.  However, if pushed into a cornor, with no other alternate...Ranma would kill.  He'd feel bad about it, but never discuss it. It would be pushed to the back of his mind, and may or may not ever surface again. (Btw, I don't think Saffron counts).

Akane: oddly.....I don't think she would.  Baring accidents, I don't beleive she could intentionally end someone's life.  Despite her temper, she's a very nice person.  Also, she doesn't take fights seriously enough to consider her opponent "death" an option. Even if she was going on a vengeance kick for the death of a love one, she'd mess up in some way and get herself killed too.

Nabiki: She's more likely to hire someone else.  Everything's got it's price.  ^_-  But she's smart enough to know that killing someone has consequences, whether you get caught or not.  If something happened to her family she might act, but I bet she'd prefer a lasting torment for the perpetrator, rather than dying and getting off the hook easily.

Kasumi:  .......come on.  really.  Even if she was possessed by super evil ultimate badass demon thing, she could only get as far as ironing a hole in someone's shirt.

Soun:  He'd only try if something happened to his daughters.  Even then, Ranma would take care of it instead.

Kuno: too stupid.

Kodachi:  Would you like to try some arsinic laced cookies?  The only real debate is whether she'd hide the body correctly...

Ukyou:...I don't think she can for much of the same reason's as Akane.

Genma: too much of a coward.

Happosai: Sure.  As long he gets something out of it.  And it's not a pretty lady.  

Colonge: Yeah.  I bet she even has before in duels.

Principal kuno: Only if someone tried to destory Hawaii.

Konatsu:  If Ukyou says so...  

Tsubasa: Blood?  Eeeeeek!  

Akari: what? there's blood? where? eeeeeep! Where?  

Tarou:  How much does the job pay?

Ryu: Only in an honor duel.

Nodoka: I have no idea.  But she creeps me out.

Azusa: OOoh! Pretty wheelchair! *steals old ladies wheelchair and knocks her in the road*

Junsekyou Guide: Yes! He's pure evil! Can't you tell?

That ladle lady:  She's plotting something.  Most likely has dozens of bodies buried in her basement.

Doctor Tofu:  Why do you think he's gone? Mal-practice suit I tell you.......mwhahahaha

Ok that's all I can think of right now.  Any comments? Please comment?

I agree with nearly everything there. Especially the amazon crew. Here are a few more comments though:

1. Ranma:  He DID kill someone. He was forced to kill Saffron when the time limit to Akane's life was quickly running out. Fortunately for the bird man, Saffron's immortality saved him so he was "reborn" as an egg to be hatched.

2. Kuno:  He's dumb as a rock, but he's fully capable of murdering Ranma. In his delusioned mind, "smiting" the foul sorcerer for good would be completely honorable.

3. Konatsu:  Dear Konatsu may be a sweet, dependent cross-dresser, but he's also a trained killer. Half his attacks are silly and lipstick based, but the other half would put Mousse to shame. When his "stepsisters" had Ukyou as hostage, they commanded Konatsu to kill Ranma. Which he attempted without batting an eye. With many sharp, pointy instruments of cold death.

I didn't really count Saffron 'cause he let Ranma's off the hook by being reborn.  Konatsu.....well I kinda forgot about that.  lol  And I still think Kuno would have a hard time killing anyone who had past a first grade education.  LOL

How does his opponent's intelligence factor in? Skill really isn't in question here, it's whether or not Kuno would actually go through with taking a life.

I think Kuno would kill if he felt it was for the good of society in some way, since this was the role of samurai (I think) in old times, to fight and kill if something threatened others.

Not to say Kuno's grasp on reality is tenous enough to believe he's got a right to kill, it's just the ideal he'd follow.
